 Formula :

1.      What is the resistance in a circuit that has a current of 0.75A and a voltage drop of 60V across the cell?

Given : I = 0.75 A

            V= 60Volt

Find R =…?

Solution

R = V : I = 60 Volt : 0.75A = 80 Ω

2.         What is the voltage drop across an alarm clock that is connected to a circuit with a current of 1.10A and resistance of 90Ω?

Given : I = 1.1 A

             R = 90 Ohm

Find V: ….?

Solution:

V = I.R

    = 1.1 A x 90 Ω

    = 99 Volt

 

3.         What is the current in a circuit that has a resistance of 75Ω and a voltage drop of 120V  across the cell?

Given :

R = 75 Ω

V = 120 Volt

Find : I = ….?

Solution:

I = V/R = 120 Volt : 75 Ω

  = 1.6 A

4.         What is the voltage drop across a TV that has a resistance of 150Ω and a current of 1.2A?

Given :

R = 150 Ω

I  = 1.2 A

Find V=….?

Solution

V = I.R

    = 1.2 A x  150 Ω

    = 180 Volt

 

 

5.            What is the resistance in a circuit that has a current of 2.5A and a voltage drop of 90V?


Given :

V = 90 Volt

I = 2.5 A

Find : R: …..?

Solution:

R = V: I = 90 Volt : 2.5 A = 36 Ω

6.               What is the current in a circuit that has a resistance of 65Ω and a voltage drop of 135V across a light bulb?

Given :

R = 65 Ω

V = 135 Volt

Find : I = …?

Solution:

I = V : R = 135 Volt : 65 Ω = 2.08 A
